Guidelines for contributors

Scientific program of ECOSS-28 consists of invited talks and contributed papers, presented during plenary, oral and poster sessions.

Oral presentations

Time allotted is 50 min. for plenary lectures (plus 10 min. discussion), 35 min. for invited talks during parallel sessions (plus 5 min. discussion), and 15 min. for contributed talks (plus 5 min. discussion). Session chairs will be strict with this timing.

All lecture rooms are equipped with computer-assisted projectors for electronic presentations (no overhead projectors for transparencies), a laptop, and a switch for connecting multiple laptops at a time. Speakers are strongly encouraged to use their personal laptops. To use the laptop provided by the organizers, presentation must be in Windows-compatible PowerPoint or PDF format on a USB memory stick or a CD.

Speakers are requested to upload the presentation, install the laptop and/or verify compatibility with the beamer well before their scheduled session. Lecture rooms will be attended at least 30 min. before the start of each session.

Poster presentations

Poster sessions will take place in the Oratorium Marianum Hall of the main building of the University of Wrocław on Monday, August 29, and Wednesday, August 31, from 18:20 to 20:20.

Each poster presentation is identified by a number associated with its abstract in the scientific program. Posters must fit within a rectangle 85 cm wide and 120 cm high (ca. DIN A0 portrait format). Authors are requested to set up their posters on the afternoon prior to their session, viz., during the lunch break (13:00-14:30) or from 17:30 on. Room attendants will provide all the necessary mounting material; other material must not be used. Posters should be removed directly after the session, otherwise they might be disposed of.

The presenting authors are expected to be at hand for discussion at their poster during at least half of the poster session and are asked to mark this time at the poster.
